The rate is only half the cost of a banking product. These are the charges and conditions from Kotak’s own product terms that most change what you actually pay or receive:

Home loan

  • Home loan repayment tenure is available up to 30 years, with eligibility assessed on income, age and CIBIL score.
  • Floating-rate home loans to individual borrowers carry no prepayment or foreclosure charges, per RBI rules.
  • A balance-transfer facility lets you shift an existing home loan from another lender to Kotak at applicable rates.
  • Loan amounts typically start around ₹5,00,000, with higher-value cases requiring additional income documentation.

Personal loan

  • Personal loans of up to ₹40,00,000 are offered to eligible salaried applicants.
  • Repayment tenure ranges up to 6 years (72 months).
  • No collateral or guarantor is required; approval depends on income and credit profile.
  • Part-prepayment and foreclosure are permitted after a minimum number of EMIs, subject to charges.

Car loan

  • New-car finance of up to 90% of the on-road price is available for eligible borrowers.
  • Repayment tenure extends up to 7 years (84 months) on new cars.
  • Used-car loans are offered for vehicles typically up to a defined age at loan maturity.
  • The loan can cover the vehicle plus registration and insurance, subject to the funding cap.

FD · 1 year

  • Deposits are insured by DICGC up to ₹5,00,000 per depositor per bank.
  • Senior citizens earn an additional 0.50% over the applicable card rate.
  • Kotak's ActivMoney sweep-in links your savings account to a fixed deposit for liquidity.
  • Fixed deposits can be booked for tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years.

RD · 1 year

  • Recurring deposits can be opened with monthly installments starting from ₹100.
  • RD balances are insured by DICGC up to ₹5,00,000 per depositor per bank.
  • Senior citizens receive an additional 0.50% over the standard recurring-deposit rate.
  • Missed-installment penalties may apply, and the account can be closed prematurely subject to rules.
