ICICI fees and rules that matter

The rate is only half the cost of a banking product. These are the charges and conditions from ICICI’s own product terms that most change what you actually pay or receive:

Home loan

  • Processing fee of up to 0.50% of the loan amount plus GST, subject to a minimum of ₹5,000.
  • No foreclosure or prepayment charges on floating-rate home loans taken by individual borrowers, per RBI guidelines.
  • Interest rate is linked to the external benchmark (RBI Repo Rate) and resets when the repo rate is revised.
  • Maximum repayment tenure of 30 years.

Personal loan

  • Processing fee of up to 2% of the loan amount plus applicable GST.
  • Foreclosure charges of up to 5% of the outstanding principal apply after the initial lock-in period.
  • Loan amounts range from ₹50,000 to ₹50,00,000 depending on eligibility.
  • Repayment tenure ranges from 12 to 72 months.

Car loan

  • Processing fee of up to ₹5,000 plus GST (or 0.50% of the loan amount).
  • Finance of up to 100% of the on-road price available for select models and profiles.
  • Foreclosure charges of around 5% of the principal outstanding apply on fixed-rate car loans.
  • Repayment tenure of up to 7 years (84 months).

FD · 1 year

  • Minimum deposit of ₹10,000 to open a fixed deposit.
  • Senior citizens earn an additional 0.50% over the standard card rate.
  • Premature withdrawal attracts an interest penalty of 0.50% to 1.00%.
  • Deposits are insured up to ₹5,00,000 per depositor by DICGC.

RD · 1 year

  • Minimum monthly installment of ₹500, in multiples of ₹100 thereafter.
  • Recurring deposit tenure ranges from 6 months to 10 years.
  • Premature closure attracts an interest penalty of 0.50% to 1.00%.
  • A penalty is levied for delayed or missed monthly installments.
