PNB fees and rules that matter

The rate is only half the cost of a banking product. These are the charges and conditions from PNB’s own product terms that most change what you actually pay or receive:

Home loan

  • Home loan rates are linked to PNB's Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR), so EMIs move with RBI repo changes.
  • Floating-rate home loans to individual borrowers carry no prepayment or foreclosure charges.
  • Women borrowers are typically offered a concession of 0.05% on the applicable rate.
  • Processing-fee waiver campaigns are periodically offered under PNB's retail home-loan schemes.

Personal loan

  • Personal loan interest is linked to PNB's RLLR plus a scheme-specific spread.
  • Government and PSU employees are typically offered the most favourable rates and higher eligibility.
  • Repayment tenure extends up to 6 years (72 months) for salaried borrowers.
  • Pensioners drawing their pension through PNB have a dedicated personal-loan scheme.

Car loan

  • Car loan rates are linked to PNB's RLLR, updated with RBI repo-rate movements.
  • Financing of up to 85% of the on-road price is available for new cars.
  • No prepayment or foreclosure charges apply on floating-rate car loans to individuals.
  • Repayment tenure extends up to 7 years (84 months) for new vehicles.

FD · 1 year

  • Deposits are insured by DICGC up to ₹5,00,000 per depositor per bank.
  • Senior citizens earn an additional 0.50% over the applicable card rate.
  • Super-senior citizens (aged 80 and above) are offered a further concession under PNB's schemes.
  • PNB offers special single-tenure FD buckets that may carry higher promotional rates.

RD · 1 year

  • Recurring deposits build savings through fixed monthly installments over the chosen tenure.
  • RD balances are insured by DICGC up to ₹5,00,000 per depositor per bank.
  • Senior citizens receive an additional 0.50% over the standard recurring-deposit rate.
  • PNB's recurring-deposit tenures are aligned with its term-deposit buckets.
